Sedna was founded in 2005 with four hardworking young people, a tiny office and a borrowed pickup truck. Today we have a team of over 60 skilled employees across offices in Africa and North America.  

Sedna’s initial focus was instrumentation convergence, systems integration and data accumulation for reporting and management purposes in the mining industry. Sedna has increased its offering to include autonomous mining, distributed acoustic sensing and managed SVM platforms.  

Sedna has and continues to add value to industry leaders such as BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Barrick Gold and Anglo American. 

In the South African Market, Sedna is a 51% black owned, Level 2 BBBEE company, contributing to the growth and diversity of the economy.
